This summer I taught another iteration of Race & Racism at UF. The Department of Anthropology has offered me another teaching position for the Fall term, and I will be teaching Race & Racism again then. I'm also hoping to teach Anthropology of Law again in Spring 2011.

I'm continuning to write the dissertation. I have three chapters nearly completed, shaping them up for submission to the committee later this summer.  I have submitted a preliminary section of one chapter for publication in a special edition of "The European Legacy," the journal of the International Society for the Study of European Ideas.

In addition, I have submitted proposals to participate in a number of conferences in the coming months, including an interdisciplinary conference hosted by the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities at Cambridge University in September; an international conference sponsored by the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society & the European Neuroscience and Society Network, to be held at Oxford University in December 2010; and the annual meetings of the American Ethnological Society coming up in Spring 2011.
